Bonnie and Andrew - Wedding

Second to last wedding of the year and it was a great one! In fact I think we may have to give Bonnie the most enthusiastic and excited bride of the year! From the early hours of getting ready Bonnie was so excited you would have thought she had just won the Lotto; it was all about "I'm ready to do this!" We started out the morning at the Hotel Monaco, headed to the World War I memorial for the ceremony, hopped around the Tidal Basin and Lincoln memorial for portraits and finished off the evening at Taberna Del Alabardero for an AMAZING Paella. Bonnie and Andrew booked us only three and half weeks before their wedding but our connection felt much more veteran than that. They were so easy going, had a FUN set of family and friends. See you two in April for the Cherry blossoms!

The Dunn Family

I recently spent a crisp fall morning with the Dunn Family. One-year-old Catherine met me at the door - staring up with huge hazel eyes. She is an independent girl who knows what she wants. That day, fallen leaves and chalk were of particular interest - she didn't go anywhere without two sticks of oversized chalk in her tiny hands. Evan is nearly five and full of the boyish energy you'd expect, along with a healthy dose of tender-heartedness. He loves dinosaurs. He spread his arms and flew across the yard, mimicking his favorite, the Pterodactyl. It was a lot of fun and I think we all wore ourselves out. Thank you Jill and John for having me!

I hope you enjoy the slideshow!!

Samata & Andrew - Wedding

This was a tough wedding to write about. Not because I didn't have anything to say, quite the contrary I had to figure out how I would condense our feelings about this special day. From the conversations during the getting ready, to their first meeting which almost had K and I in tears, to the amazing love and respect which exuded from their interaction, to the pure awesomeness of their families and friends, this was a day to cherish. Both families were such a pleasure to be around all day. They made us feel like special guests and it was such a privilege for us to be a part of their day. We sincerely would like to thank Martha FitzSimon for introducing us. Samata and Andrew (and all Kodolikars & McClures), from the bottom of our hearts we thank you for choosing us and wish you THE BEST!!
