Mya & Dave - a DC wedding to remember

Can our jobs get any more fun? I think so, but we may need to watch what we ask for especially when Kristiaan makes suggestions like tossing a bride up in the air. :)

It was 10/2/10 and we were super worried that the marches and the rally in downtown DC would put a huge damper on where we could go for photos as well as cause major traffic delays. But somehow we got lucky, no worries, no problems, all fun and love.

We began our day at One Washington Circle Hotel in Foggy Bottom where everyone got prepped and where we had Mya and Daves 'first glance' photos. Always such a touching moment! We then headed off to do bridal party photos at the Capitol, not much else I can say other than "What The Fun!" Kristiaan had the brilliant (and I mean that) idea to have the wedding party throw Mya up in the air. Her response was just so classic, an unhesitating calm but enthusiastic yes.

As the bridal party was semi reluctantly lining up, I decided we should do a test run with someone about Mya's size. Being that I only weigh a few pounds more I volunteered myself. It worked out as you can see below!
SERIOUSLY YOU ALL FRIGGIN ROCK FOR DOING THIS!!!! And Mya you get most daring bride of the year award (I hope I'm not putting my foot in my mouth).

The rest of the day was nothing but pure joy as the ceremony proceeded flawlessly by the water and oh so perfect late afternoon sun at Fort McNair.

Their reception was touching and included some excellent high energy dancing, even K & I cut a bit of rug!

Proof is in the puddin'

I dont typically narrate images, but this one needed it. I asked the groomsmen for a serious, no emotion face... from the beginning I knew where this was going as one just couldnt even keep it straight, the rest followed in suit :) I love this series though!
