Coda!

After a few weeks of discussion about how fast puppies grow we were finally able to get my uncles new pup named Coda into the studio... Yes a dog in the studio :) Although we only had an hour it was fun and exciting watching them trying to coax him into modeling position with doggie treats.

Here are just a few shots from the day:

To new friendships

I met Subhadra a few months ago at a friend's going away party. Since then she's referred us to another client and we were finally able to convince her to step into the studio with us. We also had a chance to hang out at dinner and enjoyed great conversation and great food at Sweet Basil.

The photo-session was good experience for Kristiaan and myself. For Subhadra I'd say it was a surprising one as she told us prior to our session that she's uncomfortable in front of the camera and doesn't like any pictures taken of her. Well from our post-correspondence we found out she actually liked her pictures.

Kimmie

Back in January I was lucky enough to meet and have a shoot with Kimmie. This coming from almost two months of correspondence discussing ideas and goals for her pictures. I must say I was very impressed with her, how comfortable she was in front of the camera and to top it off a genuinely nice personality. Expect to see more of her in the future :)

To Celebrate a life

I haven't posted in a while due to the illness(cancer) and death of my grandmother Olga Madiou.

Yes, it is a tough thing to deal with but up until her last moments she showed us what true strength, true faith and true love was. Inspiring to say the least.

My grandmother entered this world on January 24th, 1932 and completed her cycle 76 years later to the day, January 24th, 2008. She passed on the evening of her birthday at her home while surrounded by family and close friends.

I will not attempt to write a wonderful and glorious eulogy, instead I will simply say she was more amazing of a person than my words could come close to explain.

Celebrating the life of Olga Madiou. Here is a tribute to her link

I found these pictures when going through some old archives, I decided to post these as I'm sure the majority of the family has never seen.
