Kelly & Lane tie the knot in Maine!

What a spectacular weekend and wedding!

July 26th 2009:
Our first destination wedding and what a GREAT experience it was! We arrived a day early to join Lane and some friends for a hike at Sandy Beach in Bar Harbor's Acadia National Park. Although it was a foggy day the scenery was stunning and we enjoyed the journey. Later that day we attended a special rehearsal/dinner at Edgewater Cabins and got to meet their amazing families. (see slideshow here)

I dont think I can say it enough, but for us, being able to meet such great families and see the love and happiness among them makes our day. I think this is one of the things we've been really lucky with since we started shooting weddings with all of our couples.

Fast forward to June 27th 2009:
The day began in Bar Harbor at Roberto Hostins Salon for Kelly and The Harborside Hotel for Lane. From there we headed over to Edgewater Cabins for the ceremony and reception. Talk about an amazing location for an outdoor wedding overlooking the water! The ceremony went very smoothly even though I was a little nervous from my dream the night before (of a naked but speedy guest running by and stealing my camera as Kelly was walking down the isle!)... Dont ask :) The evening couldn't have ended any better as we partied the rest of the night away overlooking the Frenchman Bay!

I'd like to thank all involved in making this such a great day! Decorations and logistics were perfectly handled by Sandy Shapiro-Hurt (Owner/Planned) from Bea and Company. Dana Olsen, Kelly's sister and Matron of Honor was the mastermind behind all the paper designs (invitations, programs, menus, etc). The food was splendidly prepared by Rich Malaby (Chef/Owner) at The Crocker House Kristiaan and I actually stayed there and would highly recommend it.

And now for our biggest post ever :)
