Amanda & Kevin in Shenandoah

For those of you who dont know Shenandoah is a special place for Kristiaan and me. One of our first "non-date" (yeah right!) photography excursions was along Skyline Drive where we discovered the infamous nipple tree that we always refer to. This is also the same location I used (for photographs) to propose to Kristiaan.

Flash forward a couple of years and we are shooting our first engagement session there with Amanda & Kevin. What the fun?! We had an amazing day that included a 4 mile hike at about 4000ft elevation, to Stony Man Summit. Then a quick nap followed by a dressier later-in-the-day shoot that may have produced some of my favorite images of 2010! Check out the set below, hope you enjoy!

Robert + Nicole - Part II: After the wedding.....

After the reception, we dragged an exhausted Robert and Nicole out on the Vegas Strip.. but it was oh so worth it!!! We got killer images! Then the next morning we headed out at 7am (ouch!!) to get some day-after photos at Red Rock Canyon - hot hot hot (and I'm not talking about the weather)! We were all SO tired but again, it was worth it. Other couples, please take note - if you want photos that go above and beyond, give us some additional time and it's all yours! We live for this stuff, tired or not.
