The Dunn Family

I recently spent a crisp fall morning with the Dunn Family. One-year-old Catherine met me at the door - staring up with huge hazel eyes. She is an independent girl who knows what she wants. That day, fallen leaves and chalk were of particular interest - she didn't go anywhere without two sticks of oversized chalk in her tiny hands. Evan is nearly five and full of the boyish energy you'd expect, along with a healthy dose of tender-heartedness. He loves dinosaurs. He spread his arms and flew across the yard, mimicking his favorite, the Pterodactyl. It was a lot of fun and I think we all wore ourselves out. Thank you Jill and John for having me!

I hope you enjoy the slideshow!!

Samata & Andrew - Wedding

This was a tough wedding to write about. Not because I didn't have anything to say, quite the contrary I had to figure out how I would condense our feelings about this special day. From the conversations during the getting ready, to their first meeting which almost had K and I in tears, to the amazing love and respect which exuded from their interaction, to the pure awesomeness of their families and friends, this was a day to cherish. Both families were such a pleasure to be around all day. They made us feel like special guests and it was such a privilege for us to be a part of their day. We sincerely would like to thank Martha FitzSimon for introducing us. Samata and Andrew (and all Kodolikars & McClures), from the bottom of our hearts we thank you for choosing us and wish you THE BEST!!

Charlotte Garrett - Bat Mitzvah

We had our chance to do our first Bat Mitzvah courtesy of Martha FitzSimon. Of course doing something for the first time always makes us a little nervous but after we met Charlotte and her wonderful family we knew everything would be fine. I must say I was expecting something calm and relaxed for the reception but thanks to the DJ (Randy Platts) the kids had some awesome music, exciting games and an amazing light display. I think these kids may have topped most of the wedding receptions we've attended!

Congratulations again, Charlotte!

Lauren & Donnie - Esession

Think yoga, chilly EARLY morning and Great Falls, MD; Add Lauren and Donnie and this is what you get!

For this eSession I (Lionel) teamed up with Sally Mannix who is close friends with, and introduced K & I, to Lauren and Donnie. Sally will also be shooting their December 27th wedding with me.

Talk about a happy, kick-ass couple! First I must commend them for waking up at the crack of dawn. Second, they were TOTAL naturals in front of the camera (I felt like I was shooting models). Third they easily ignored the cold and the rocky terrain and had fun doing it. I must say that narrowing down my fav's were rather difficult. I was totally enamored by their huge effortless smiles and warm signs of affection.

Keep an eye out for their December wedding!
